	Ceredigion Domestic Abuse Forum 01545 571408 The Ceredigion Domestic Abuse Forum is a group of people who work for different statutory and voluntary agencies in Ceredigion that work with adult and child victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse. The Forum is committed to working towards enabling people to live their lives free of violence and abuse. The Forum aims to reduce all incidents of domestic abuse, identify ways of prevention & increase knowledge by raising awareness through education & training of children, young people & adults on domestic abuse. Womans Aid In Ceredigion there are 2 Women’s Aid groups. Women’s Aid can offer help and information to women and children who are affected by domestic abuse. Women’s Aid have houses called refuges. In Ceredigion there are 2 refuges. Refuge is somewhere safe to stay for women, children and young people. Aberystwyth Women’s Aid 01970 625585 Cardigan Women’s Aid 01239 615385 Ceredigion Domestic Abuse Forum has a range of resources to help raise awareness of domestic abuse, including public information cards, leaflets, display banner, purple domestic abuse website wristbands, mouse mats, pens and pencils. We have safety equipment and access to the Bobby Van Scheme that can help make you feel safer at home. Domestic Abuse Training has been given to: Volunteers, Social workers, Midwives, Health Visitors, School Nurses, SENCO’s, Care workers, Teachers, Support workers, Police, Teachers and staff working in the Housing/Homelessness and Substance Misuse agencies . These agencies work sometimes brings them into contact with people living in Ceredigion who have experienced domestic abuse. Hundreds of children and young people living in Ceredigion have participated in Domestic Abuse Awareness Raising Sessions during PSE lessons in secondary schools in Ceredigion facilitated jointly by the Ceredigion Domestic Abuse Forum and Cymdeithas Tai Hafan.
