Pembrokeshire Domestic Abuse Forum is a multi agency group who work together to help identify domestic abuse victims and their children.
Domestic abuse is very often kept secret within the home, it always involves people who are or have been in a relationship. It is not necessarily physical but usually causes one partner and sometimes their children to live in fear.
In Pembrokeshire professional training has been given to Police, Women’s Aid, Social Services, Nurses, Teachers, Health Visitors, Midwives, School Nurses, Pupil Support Officers, and Youth Leaders. And they should be able to help.
If you feel scared at home it is important that you find an adult that you feel confident to talk too, identify the adult in your life and pick a quiet moment to tell them your worries.
If domestic abuse is happening in your family you may be feeling confused, distressed, guilty, lonely, helpless or you will worry.
It is important that you share your worries.
